Calories ARE important
It's been awhile since I've posted about the ONE THING most people try to focus on to "lose weight" and 95% of them are doing it WRONG!!!
In order to lose weight you need to be burning more calories than you're consuming...however, this statement is usually taken the WRONG way.
Just being alive...all people burn a certain amount of calories BMR (basal metabolic rate) then you add in the calories you burn just moving around, possibly working out etc., and those are the calories you burn overall throughout the day....lots of people think ok I'm going to shoot for "1200 or less" calories per day in order to lose weight because I have to be burning at least 1200 calories every day....Are you guilty of this thought? I used to be. But here's the thing.....EVERYONE BURNS ATLEAST 1200 CALORIES JUST BEING ALIVE unless there's some underlying condition going on....
So you need way more than 1200 calories to lose weight. Why?? If you shoot to eat 1200 calories or lower your body tends to think you are trying to STARVE IT and will literally hold on to every once of fat you have ON your body...and begin to eat your muscle....even if you're working out and lifting weights. Our bodies do NOT like to be starved and will fight you.
So are you feeling frustrated because you're kicking your booty in your work outs, eatings 1200 calories or lower (or maybe a bit higher) and still not seeing results? I've got a guess, your body WANTS MORE FOOD!
I 100% promise you....you up those calories to what is safe for YOU (if you need help with this message me I'll help you figure out your number) then you will start to lose weight. But obviously you've gotta up the calories with HEALTHY FOOD...not crap I am not giving you an excuse to eat crap!!!
